The pair shared a cute video of their fresh braids to Kaavia’s Instagram with Kaavia posing in a cute rainbow tee and checkerboard shorts and Union glamming it up in satin pajamas. “Nuthin Like A New Do. Get into itttttttt,” the little star wrote in the caption. According to the post, stylist Wankaya H. was responsible for her “back to school” braids, which were perfectly accessorized with beads and pastel pink bows.

“New hair, who’s this?” Union says in the video as she and her daughter show off their finished styles. “Do you like your new braids?” she asks Kaavia, who enthusiastically replies that yes, she’s a fan. Her favorite part? “The beads are beautiful,” she says, with her mom confirming that they are “gorgeous” indeed. Kaavia gives her new ‘do a quick spin on a scooter as Beyoncé’s “Alien Superstar” plays, so it’s clear she’s feeling herself and her fresh look.
