British beauty entrepreneur, TV personality and fashionista Trinny Woodall has propelled her eponymous makeup suite into cult-classic status, and her fun-loving charm into our hearts. Let’s just say she’s the beauty BFF we’ve always wanted.
Morning Dew
“I love a fresh face in the morning, so I use my BFF De-Stress Tinted Serum ($50) in Lucy to wake my skin up. Brows are so important to frame the face, and the Hourglass Brow Pencil ($37) gives good color, doesn’t set too strong, and the size of the brush works really well for even the smallest eyebrows. I also love multipurpose products: I invented the Lip2Cheek Sheer Shimmer ($30) because it acts as a lip and cheek color, and sometimes highlighter. On a day when I have no time, I’ll put it on my eyes too.”

“My favorite jewelry is from Liat Ginzburg, a designer I met in Israel who does fun, bright, mad things, or Annina Vogel, who does the opposite and makes beautiful pieces from old charm necklaces. I adore them.”

“If I had to think about the thing I would least want to lose, it might be this little angel I was given when my daughter Lyla’s father died, and I always keep it close to me. Once I thought I had lost it, and I remember how much that upset me.”
Book Club
Woodall says her most-loved book of all time is The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas ($7). “It’s just an incredible adventure story. I also loved Perfume by Patrick Süskind ($13)—I read it when I was working for Caron in Paris, and I remember how it awakened my love of fragrance at the time.”
Euro Trip
To get away from the hustle-bustle, Woodall flees to the mountains in France near the Swiss border where she has a chalet. “I’d also love to be lying on an island in the Caribbean. Whenever I meditate, I think of those two locations.”
Pillow Talk
Before bed, Woodall always does a double-cleanse. “Generally I start with a balm, either de Mamiel Cleansing Balm ($79) or Botanics Organic Hot Cloth Cleansing Balm ($32). Then I follow with a gel, like NeoStrata PHA Facial Cleanser ($27).” Next comes a resurfacing acid—she favors Biologique Recherche P50 or Jane Scrivner’s, “a more gentle exfoliant” ($40)—plus retinol and peptide serums. “I love nearly every retinol from Medik8, but right now I’m using r-Retinoate Intense ($265). I don’t like wearing a heavy moisturizer at night.”
