[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] Something that seems to be happening quite a lot recently with the fragrances that I’ve been trying is that I don’t like them much at the start but the settle turns out to be quite lovely. Coach Dreams Sunset was too foody for me at the outset emanating from the ‘pear ice cream note’ (which is something that would put me off rather than draw me to this fragrance as a consumer) and the vanilla and tonka in the base. Once I’d read that the opener is pear it all made sense and on a second spritz  was immediately obvious and literally just because I knew what it was, it smelled fresher and less gourmand.

After the fruity note settles down, the floral aspects come through – jasmine and magnolia with the latter predominating – so that it’s a lightly sweet hit that rounds nicely into a creamy, skin scent. It’s a much easier wear than I initially thought – I was ready to put Coach Dreams Sunset into candy territory but it’s more than that and if you like a fruity-floral, don’t dismiss this one. I tend to test fragrances blind – as in, I don’t really look at the notes first, but in this case I wish I had because my olfactory senses and brain just didn’t connect on the pear. There are still traces of vanilla that would rule it out for me but if you don’t mind a bit of it, Dreams Sunset is worth a spritz.

I don’t think it’s launched in the UK yet – I made the ‘mistake’ of heading to the Coach UK site to try and find it and found myself in the sale section looking at bags. I’ll share below what I think is the summer’s nicest bright bag but before I do, I need to warn you that the spritz comes out of the flower – do not do what I did and pull the flower off the top and then wonder how the heck to get the fragrance out.

I mean, how lovely is that! Lots of inside pockets (apparently) and pretty as a picture. I thought I was strictly a black bag person but I have a yellow tote bag that I have used almost all this summer and it’s changed my thinking a bit on how brighter bag can just make an outfit sing. A bit like the bright lipsticks I never thought I could wear. Anyway, it’s not cheap at £210 even though it’s in the sale and was £350 but it’s put some sunshine in my day just to see it HERE and it also comes in white, black and tan.
