The glamorous women in Hollywood came to rule the red carpet at the 94th annual Academy Awards, and it’s the women of a certain age that held our attention. Here, the women 40 and up who brought their A-games—and the prepping products and glam that helped create the best eye candy for one of the most talked about telecasts in Oscars history.

Penelope Cruz

Best actress nominee, 47-year-old Penelope Cruz looked better than ever and had her makeup up done by celebrity makeup icon Charlotte Tilbury, MBE who used a combination of her Lip Cheat liner in Iconic Nude ($24) and Pillow Talk 2. Medium ($24) to create Cruz’s lustrous lip.

Jada Pinkett Smith

Beautiful Jada Pinkett Smith, 50, radiated in a Jean Paul Gaultier dress and dewy skin, thanks to celebrity aesthetician Celeste Rodriguez who treated the star with a HydraFacial ahead of the awards and used skin care by iS Clinical and Skin Better Science.

Rita Moreno

Wearing an Adrienne Landau feather headpiece and a custom Carolina Herrera gown, 90-year-old Moreno took command of the Oscar’s red carpet for the 60th anniversary of West Side Story. To top the look, Moreno told Laverne Cox she added a heart-shaped beauty mark because, “what the hell?”

Jamie Lee Curtis

Curtis, 63, sought Stella McCartney for a sustainably sourced gown that would honor Betty White, for whom Curtis honored on stage during the award show’s In Memorium portion of the broadcast. Celebrity makeup artist Grace Ahn used Crème de la Mer ($190) and Clé de Peau Beauté Radiant Corrector for Eyes ($70) for a smooth, youthful glow.

Rosie Perez

Everything was coming up Rosie on the red carpet and celebrity makeup artist Karen Dupiche kept the 57-year-old star’s makeup bright and fresh, with Lancôme’s Blush Subtil ($33) and Lancôme’s L’Absolu Rouge Drama Ink liquid lipstick in French Opera ($28).

Nicole Kidman

Nominee Nicole Kidman was picture perfect with a lit-from-within complexion and bold, crimson lip. Celebrity makeup artist Kyra Panchenko gave the 54-year-old star a porcelain-like complexion that complemented her statuesque Armani gown using Pat McGrath Labs Skin Fetish Sublime Perfection Foundation($68), Concealer ($32), Under-Eye Powder ($30) and Divine Glow Highlighter ($48).

Uma Thurman

With a look that paid homage to her Pulp Fiction character Mia Wallace, the 51-year-old stunner gave classic beauty and Clé de Peau Beauté global color director Benjamin Puckey says he prepped Uma’s skin using the Key Radiance Care products, The Brightening Mask Treatment Supreme ($300) and La Crème ($550). For her natural lip, Puckey says, “We chose the soft pink Lipstick in Snapdragon ($47) and layered the soft pink Shine Lipstick in Influential ($65) over it for a beautiful glossy finish.”

Maggie Gyllenhaal

For the 44-year-old nominee’s look, makeup artist and Tatcha’s Director of Artistry and Education, Daniel Martin prepped her skin using Tatcha’s The Texture Tonic ($59), The Essence ($105), The Water Cream ($69) and The Liquid Silk Canvas ($52). “Red carpet makeup is about longevity,” Martin said, as it’s “the foundation to locking down everything else on the face!”

Tracee Ellis Ross

To give Ellis Ross a look as bold as her Carolina Herrera gown, celebrity makeup artist Molly Greenwald used a full-face of Byredo Makeup, including the blendable, creamy Colour Sticks ($33).

Venus Williams

Celebrity makeup artist Karina Milan gave Williams, 41, a fresh-faced look by starting with the Lancer Skincare Lift & Plump Sheet Mask ($120) and Lancer Legacy Eye Treatment Duo ($450) for a radiant look to match her stunning Elie Saab Goddess gown.

Serena Williams

Serena slayed in custom Gucci and celebrity hairstylist Alexander Armand says he wanted to create something “edgy, fun, and flirty to match the spirit of her dress, up the ante, display her versatility, and demonstrate her ability to transform.” To set her sleek bob in place, the stylist used Maui Moisture’s new Frizz Free + Shea Butter Elongating Gel and Coconut Weightless Oil Mist. “We opted to use tried and true products that worked well on her previous textured bob since they work well on both textured and straight hair,” Armand shared.

Jennifer Garner

Celebrity makeup artist Kara Yoshimoto Bua pampered the 49-year-old star with Neutrogena Hydroboost Gel Cream ($24) while hair stylist Jenny Cho used Virtue Labs, include the Virtue Labs Volumizing Primer ($38), to give her a 90’s supermodel blowout to top off her crimson Brandon Maxwell dress.
