Beaming Maya Henry can’t hide her joy as she steps out amid split from Liam Payne

Maya Henry flashed a beaming smile as she stepped out after her ex-fiance Liam Payne unfollowed his new love interest Aliana Mawla on Instagram.

The millionaire heiress, 21, looked like the cat who had got the cream while indulging in some retail therapy in London’s Mayfair on Wednesday.

As news of the couple’s split emerged, Liam was pictured with his arm’s wrapped around influencer Aliana before they were spotted at a London airport together.

Maya cut a super stylish figure in a black and white dress with a PVC mac and a pair of knee-high boots, while accessorising with sunglasses and a bag. 

Aliana and Liam went public went the photos of the singer merged on a fan Instagram account on Monday, as well as of the pair holding hands.

She starred in his 2018 music video for J.Balvin collaboration, Familiar, and proudly promoted her sultry appearance in the music video via an Instagram post.

But the couple are subject to a wave of controversy, as the relationship was revealed at the same time as the news of Liam’s break-up with Maya came out, with the pair reportedly having split up weeks before, according to those close to Liam.

The romance was short lived as the pair unfollowed each other on the platform, with a source exclusively telling MailOnline that they are no longer in contact. 

Despite Maya and Liam’s end of their relationship, Maya referred to Liam as her ‘fiancé’ as she took to the comments section of the fan post of him and Aliana, which those close to the former X Factor finalist have slammed as ‘very misleading’.

A source told MailOnline: ‘Liam and Maya are no longer together and split up for good over a month ago. Maya’s comments referring to Liam as her fiancé are untrue and very misleading.’

After the images emerged, the Texas-native wrote: ‘I love all of the fans so much but please stop sending me these pictures of my fiancé wrapped around another woman. This is not me and it’s hard enough knowing this has happened without seeing it. Enough now.’

But on the opposing side, last week a friend of Maya’s hit back at claims that the couple split a month ago, claiming that Liam’s new relationship had come as a shock to Maya.

A source told The Mirror: ‘This is such a blow for Maya, she’s making arrangements to get her belongings out of his house so she can move on and forget they were ever together.

‘To say you never know someone is understatement. They were engaged and he has shown her zero respect.

‘She’s now thinking about her next steps and building a new life without Liam.’

Adding to the drama, Liam declared welcoming son Bear with ex Cheryl ‘ruined their relationship but for all the right reasons’ in his most candid chat yet.

The former One Direction hitmaker and the Girls Aloud singer, 38, welcomed Bear in 2017 but split the following year following a two and a half year romance.

Speaking on  Logan Paul‘s Impaulsive podcast on Wednesday, the Strip That Down singer said he originally struggled with becoming a father at the tender age of 23, and detailed how Cheryl haemorrhaged ‘badly’ while giving birth.

 He said: ‘I like to talk to other new dads. You don’t know what is coming and it’s different.

‘And to be honest with you, it ruined a relationship for me at that point but for all the right reasons. I was so excited for him to be born that I was actually worried if I wouldn’t love him enough.’  

Speaking about the day the former couple became parents, Liam detailed a terrifying incident where Cheryl  ‘haemorrhaged quite badly giving birth’ – which left her resting for Bear’s first day.

He said: ‘So for the first 24 hours of his life,  it was me and a baby in the room and I was 23 and had to take care of it and I didn’t even have any baby sisters or anything. It was fun.

‘The end of the night was me playing FIFA with my little boy on my arm like ‘this is the coolest thing ever’.’

Liam praised his ex and gave an insight into their co-parenting, saying: ‘She is the best mum in the world. I couldn’t ask for someone better.

‘I get to take my son to school one or two times a week and it’s the best thing. The relationship we have now as friends has only grown more.

‘We broke up for a reason and now she gives me full autonomy of my life and to do what I do and I know he’s [Bear’s] taken care of. He is all she cares about and I couldn’t ask for more. They live like three minutes from my house.

‘I always glue myself to where he is. My life now is his. My money is his. I have several companies he can run if he wants one day or he can sell… but right now he’s only five so we have a long way to go.

‘He’s a lovely, lovely boy. We’ve been blessed.’ 

Detailing his fears over his young son following his parents into the entertainment industry, Liam added: ‘The scariest thing for me is him waking up one day and saying ‘I want to be famous.’

‘He already says ‘I want to sing Strip That Down on stage with you daddy’ and that scares the c**p out of me because I know what it did to me.

I’ve protected his face since he was young. I chose to be famous, well a singing career, when I was 14… I know you can’t pop the lid back on.

‘He’s dying for it, goes to rehearsals with his mum, I’ve got videos of him dancing, he wants to sing. At least I did all the wrong things for him so he doesn’t have to do them.’
