Australia-New Zealand collaboration to integrate radiology information system with cloud-based health booking system

Australian radiology software developer Kestral and New Zealand-based digital healthcare solutions provider Aceso Health, together with Sorsix Technologies, have signed a multi-year collaboration deal for platform integration.

WHY IT MATTERS

The companies will collaborate to combine Kestral’s Karisma Radiology Information System (RIS) with Aceso’s Snapscan Patient Online Booking System which runs on Sorsix’s technology.

Aceso said in a press release that its integrated cloud-based booking system now enables patients and referrers to book and schedule complex diagnostic appointments.

Through the online platform, patients can pick a date and time of their diagnostics without the need to call a radiology practice. They can also choose their preferred location, “making the booking process easier and more convenient”. Referrers can schedule appointments online while still in consultation with patients as well.

“The collaboration delivers real-time interoperability that dramatically enhances the experience for patients and providers in the health system,” the company stated.
