The TV long-timer – whose career propelled her to shows such as Blue Peter and GMTV in the 90s – said to The Mirror: ‘There was a great connection. It was all a bit quick and a bit crazy but sometimes those crazy moves work out.’

The small screen star considered the differences having a relationship when you’re older and thoughtfully said that it’s about the ‘best and happiest ways to spend your remaining years on the planet.’

Giving fans some warm advice, she enforced that love does not come with a ‘sell-by date’ and despite seeking different things depending on age, ultimately ‘you’re still looking for sparkle and fun.’
